The Emotional Knight

The Emotional Knight is a 2D-platformer arena-style fighting game with several waves of enemies! You play as a knight in shining armor tasked to defeat some deadly monsters. 

HOW TO PLAY - Move with WASD keys or arrow keys, use C to attack and V to use your shield. Try to attack and defeat all the enemies before your health bar in the corner turns completely red. GOOD LUCK! 

This is a game still in development made by 3 junior first-year game design students with the Unity engine. This was made for an assignment and was built in only a few weeks. There are still some bugs that need to be worked out and extra elements like collecting health, more levels, and music and sound that we still need to add. We would like to keep working on this game and see where it goes! But this was just a fun little mini-project we were working on. We hope you like it! 

We used assets from the Unity Asset store for the character and the monsters.

The coding, programming, and animations were done by Botond Lengyel, the background art, the arena platform, and the main menu were all drawn by Alex Shulman, and the level design was by Yigit Kocak. 

The reason why it's called The Emotional Knight is because of our original idea. We wanted a knight to battle through different levels, each level a different colour to represent a different emotion that he faces; fear, anger, sadness, guilt, like shown briefly in the main menu. The green level is fear, and was drawn to look spooky and creepy, evoking fear in the player. But we only have one level so far, and we still wanna keep working on more. It also wasn't going to be areans like in Super Smash Brothers, but a game where you explore different tunnels and find the monsters, further developing fear while you wander around in the dark. OOOOO!!! But our teacher thought it might be better to have arenas so we could focus on just the combat://
